What exactly is a “garage reset”?
A garage reset is a one-day transformation focused on cleaning, organizing, and creating simple systems so your space becomes usable and easy to maintain. I work primarily with what you already own – grouping items logically, maximizing storage, and restoring floor space. This is not junk-hauling or pressure-selling storage products.
2. How does pricing work?
Most projects start with a few photos of your garage so I can recommend a service level and provide a price range. For larger or more complex spaces, I offer a free on-site walkthrough before scheduling, no obligation. Every project is quoted upfront – no surprises.
3. How long does a garage reset take?
Every project varies by scale and size, but I do everything in my power to have it completed in one day. Larger or heavily packed spaces may require more time, but I’ll communicate that clearly during the estimate process.
4. Do I need to buy new shelving or storage bins?
Not necessarily. My goal is to organize what you already have first. If additional shelving or storage would significantly improve the space, I’ll make recommendations – but there is no pressure to purchase anything. I do NOT build custom shelving or storage compartments. If you do purchase pre-engineered shelving, I CAN install it for you, but will charge extra for the labor involved. But this would all be discussed prior to your project beginning.
5. Do you haul away junk?
I am not a junk removal company. I believe that what you have is not junk – it’s a lifetime of collective accrual that just needs to be reset or reorganized in order for you to reclaim your space. If you feel differently and have decided that some of the items are “junk” – I can help separate items for donation and disposal. If the number of items can fit in a small tote – I will haul that away for you for no charge. If the amount is larger or the items themselves are larger in size – I can also haul away, but an additional fee will be added to the final total. All of this would be discussed before your invoice is given to you though. Remember, there are never any surprises with me.
6. Do I need to be home during the reset?
You do not have to be present for me to reset your garage. However, if you know of some things you absolutely want to keep, get rid of, if there are boxes full of fragile china or other delicate items – they either need to be taken out of the garage before I begin, or very visibly marked so I can be extra careful when dealing with your fragile belongings. If you wish to be present during the reset – you are more than welcome to go through your items as I bring everything out of the garage. Prior to the project beginning – we will discuss items you want to keep, donate, or items that need to be readily available and easy to access or items that can be stowed away per season.
7. What areas do you serve?
All of the Omaha metro – including Papillion, Bellevue, Gretna, Millard, Elkhorn, Bennington, Council Bluffs, Fremont and Blair.
8. What types of garages do you work on?
Any garage is fair game – no matter how many cars it holds or whether it’s attached or not. Storage sheds, trailers, barns, shops are all also fair game. I will look at any space you need de-cluttered and help you out.
9. When is the best time to book?
I work year-round – I have no problem being in your garage when it’s 20 degrees out. If you need it done, I’m there.
10. Are you insured?
Yes. Stow and Order, by Bain is locally owned, veteran operated, fully insured.
11. Why hire someone when I can do it myself?
Most homeowners could absolutely organize their own space. Most homeowners also don’t want to spend their entire weekend doing it. I bring structure, efficiency and an outside perspective so the job gets done in one day – leaving you the entire weekend to cross something else off the list.
